Welcome to the "Weird Al" Tribute Songs Page!
Below are songs that are not on the tribute albums, but some are. Listed by artist

Matthew Hodgson "That One Guy"
This is the Webmaster (Me). I have a goal
to make more "Weird Al" tribute songs than anybody else in the
history of the world! So far I only have 9, but it's a
start. Below are MP3s of my Al tributes, enjoy!
New! Belvedere
Cruisin' (30th Anniversary Remake)
This is a 30th anniversary remake of the rare
song, Belvedere Cruisin'. Belvedere Cruisin', Al's
first recorded song, debuted on the Dr. Demento show
on March 14th 1976. This is the first 30th anniversary
tribute of an Al song! Released January 22nd 2006.
New! Belvedere
Cruisin' (30th Anniversary Cover)
This is an accordion version! Released
January 22nd 2006.
The
Dr. Demento 35th Anniversary Song
This is a brand new updated remake of The Dr. Demento Anniversary song
that was performed by Barnes and Barnes with "Weird
Al" back in 1985! The original song was never
released, only played a handful of times on the Dr. Demento
show, but now you can download this remake and listen to it as
many times as you want!
Originally written by Barnes and Barnes (Al
played accordion and sang a few parts)
Updated lyrics (like the
newer presidents) written by Matthew Hodgson and
performed by Matthew Hodgson "That One Guy" This is
actually a Barnes and Barnes, "Weird Al" and Dr. Demento
tribute at the same time! Enjoy! Recorded on April 29th
2005.
School Cafeteria
This is a cover of School
Cafeteria! School Cafeteria was released on the B side of My
Bologna (the bathroom version) in 1979. Recorded on
August 8th 2004. Oh, by the way, I was the same age Al was
when he recorded the original (19).
My Bologna
This is a cover I did of the
original bathroom version of My Bologna. I recorded this in
2002, and remastered it. In my opinion this is my best
cover. Bermuda seems to think so too since he told me that
he thought it was Al singing a long lost version. :)
Since You've Been Gone
This is a cover of Since You've Been Gone from Bad Hair
Day. I used the karaoke track from the Gump CD single; recorded
in early 2004
Biggest Fan
This is my first, and so far only, original
tribute. This song is on Me, Myself, and I (track 7). The
song is basicaly about a guy whos every move is related to Al; his
biggest fan. This was recorded in 2002
The Next three songs were recorded in a karaoke bar. The VFW on W. 10th St. in Indianapolis, IN.
Addicted to Spuds
This is me singing Addicted to Spuds live, recorded in August of 2003
Grapfruit Diet
Me singing Grapefruit Diet live, recorded January 10th 2003
Yoda
Yoda live, recorded the same night
Food Medley
This is me performing the 2 concert only songs, Fast
Food and Free Delivery. Recorded way back in 2000. It's
kind of low quality around my early recording days, I just have it on
here to show that I made an Al tribute back then.
Some Quotes...
"Thanks for the website"
- "Weird Al" Yankovic
"When I heard My Bologna, I thought it was some long-lost version! Great work on all the tunes"
-
Jon "Bermuda" Shwartz
"Matt -- your voice sounds a whole lot like 16-year old Al"
-
Joe Krause (producer of Al's first tribute album - Me, Myself, and I)
And many more great things were said by many people...
Jake Waters
Jake is a parody artist/satire artist who has been
greatly inspired by Al. He has three "Weird Al" tribute
songs. Amazingly 2 of them are on the 2nd tribute
album (Me, Myself, and I)! Jake and I are pretty much in the same
boat when it comes to Al tributes. Even though I live in
Indiana and he lives in Utah (pretty long boat!). We are
pondering the idea of making a tribute together - we've recorded
together before. Keep checkin' back for new songs by Jake.
Groovy Belvedere Cruisin'
Jake performs Al's first song ever (unreleased song he
sent to Dr. Demento back in 1976) with a hint of Such a Groovy Guy
(from Al's self Titled Album). He plays the beginning portion of
the accordion solo very well, very well indeed.
Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung
Jake performs Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung (from Al's
Self Titled Album). A great cover, and once again nice
accordion work.
Another One Rides the Bus (Live Cover)
Jakes performs Another One Rides the Bus live on
his college radio station
No pic
Marc
and Jon
Marc and Jon have a polka medley of "Weird Al"
songs called Polka #27.
New! Polka
#27

Jared
Claxon
Jared is the accordionist from The Mindless
Tripod Experience.
Here are a couple tributes he submitted to the
site!
Feel
Like Throwing Up - This is a cover/add on to
the rare song Feel like Throwing Up. Al wrote 1 verse in
1979 and Jared wrote two verses. Recorded Dec. 2005
My
Bologna - Jared's cover
of My Bologna. Recorded Dec. 2005

Bob Ricci
Bob has been making funny music for over 10 years. He has 5 Al covers.
Chicken Pot Pie
This is a cover and an add on to the rare and
unreleased song Chicken Pot Pie. Al only wrote 1 verse, and Bob
Covers it well - then he added his own extra verse. This song is
the result of Al and Bob having the same idea for a parody, and this
recording is a merge of both sets of lyrics. Joe Alba is on guitars, Mike Davidson is on Drums and Bass, and Bob on all Vocals, Piano, and Strings.
Melanie
This an awesome cover of "Melanie" from the Even Worse Album.
These next three songs are some of his early work. Unreleased...untill now - thanks to Jake Waters.
Achy Breaky Song
This is Bob's cover of Achy Breaky Song
Yoda
Bob's version of Yoda
Still Billy Joel To Me
Bob's cover of the unreleased song Still Billy Joel To Me.
Credits are by Bob only on those last three songs. Oh and Al Yankovic wrote the lyrics - of course.

Luke Ski
Luke is a parody artist/funny musician/voice
impersonator kinda guy. He has 2 "Weird Al" tribute songs, a
remix of one of those songs, 1 semi tribute, and 5 other songs that
either mention Al or relate to him.
Below are Links to audio clips, and lyrics of his songs, and info on each song.
Quite A Man For An 'AL' Fan (audio link)
A parody of "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)" by the
Offspring, about being a hard-core "Weird Al" Yankovic fan. Luke
Ski got the idea for this song in the hopes that there would be a
second 'Prosthetic Lips' "Weird Al" Yankovic tribute album, so he could
make a submission. But since that didn't happen, he put the
song on his CD "Carpe Dementia" as a hidden track just for
fun. FYI, this song came out in 1999 a few months before "Weird
Al's" album "Running With Scissors", which also contained a parody of
the same Offspring song, his titled "Pretty Fly For A
Rabbi". Luke had no idea that it was going to be on Al's album,
which he likes to chalk up to great minds thinking alike. It's
hidden track #27 on the album "Carpe Dementia", which you can order at www.LukeSki.com.
C'Mon Ride The Bus (audio link)
lyrics - (LYRIC LINK COMING SOON)A parody of "C'mon 'N
Ride It (The Train)" by Quad City DJs, a tribute to the 20th
anniversary of the live on-the-air recording of "Weird Al" Yankovic's
song "Another One Rides The Bus" on "The Dr. Demento Show". From
the album "Uber Geek", which you can order at www.LukeSki.com.
(no lyrics available)
You can download a free MP3 of this special remix and read all about it at Luke Ski's Free MP3 page!
Spam (Let The Pork Be Pork) (30 second snippet)
lyrics - (LYRIC LINK COMING SOON)
A parody of "Slam" by Onyx about food in general, a slight tribute
to "Weird Al" Yankovic. Luke's first food song, which mentions
many of "Weird Al" Yankovic's food songs within it, in tribute to his
artistic mastery. Also, a blatant Monty Python reference at the end of
the tune. Lead vocalists, Luke Ski (first verse), Sir Real (second
verse), J Styles (third verse). From the album "Fanboys 'n da
Hood", find out about it at
www.LukeSki.com.
lyrics - (not typed up yet)
A parody of "Rhymin' and Stealin'" by the Beastie
Boys about Dr. Demento & Whimsical Will of "the Dr. Demento Show".
Whimsical Will liked this song so much, that he did a piece on it
during the Demented News (7-6-97). He has also used clips from this,
and a couple other Luke Ski songs since then. Lead vocalists Luke Ski,
J Styles, and J.T. Sienkowski (referred to as 'Nickel' in the liner
notes). This song mentions Al a couple times. From the
album "Shadows of the Bunghole", find out about it at www.LukeSki.com.

Hey ALCON '98 (no link)
(no sound bite)
(no lyrics)
This was a Dickie Goodman / Whimsical Will style of break-in
interview based on the events of the ALCON '98 Convention. It was
released as a part of the "Forgotten Fishheads" Luke Ski rarities
fan club collection in 2000. Find
out more about the fan club at
www.LukeSki.com.
Gump - Live 3-9-96 (no link)
(no sound bite)
(no lyrics)
Luke came up with the idea to do a parody of "Lump" about
"Forrest Gump" a couple months before "Bad Hair Day" was
released. This is a live recording done at the Toledo Rocky
Horror Picture Show on March 9th, 1996, 3 days before "Bad Hair Day's"
release, and 1 day before Al premiered the song on "the Dr. Demento
Show". For this one performance, this version of the song was
Luke's, and the crowd loved it. It was released as a part
of the "Forgotten Fishheads" Luke Ski rarities fan club collection
in 2000. Find out more about the fan club at
www.LukeSki.com.
Are You? (no link)
(no sound bite)
(no lyrics)
Luke's DJ, engineer, and younger brother, DJ Skrabble, was
messing around with his turntables one day when he made this track
combining LPs of Weird Al's Peter and the Wolf, the Muppet Show
soundtrack, Nine Inch Nails, and Michael Jackson. It was released
as a part of the "Forgotten Fishheads" Luke Ski rarities fan club
collection in 2000. Find out more about the fan
club at
www.LukeSki.com. (It also became the basis for the theme to Luke's weekly internet funny music show, "Dementia Revolution.
This song doesn't mention Al at all, but was written as an
unofficial sequel to "Yoda". Weird Al's "Yoda" talks about the
events from "Empire Strikes Back", and Luke's "Y.O.D.A." talks
about the events from "Return Of The Jedi". From the album
"Carpe Dementia", which you can order at
www.LukeSki.com.
This song is about being a big fan of various types of
things. At the end of the third verse, Luke worked in a
blatant "27" in the lyrics, as a nod to Weird Al fandom. From the
album "Uber Geek", which you can order at
www.LukeSki.com.
All songs are MP3 format.
